Safely Made it to Honolulu!

May 24, 2007 by Justin

Today was definitly a long day. Thats why I can be seen in this picture drinking a Kona beer in the Honolulu Airport. I had to say goodbye to my family, ride on 3 flights, and then arrived in Honolulu. I love this place! The weather is perfect, and the palm trees are amazing.

I am going to be heading to bed early thats for sure. I have a big week coming up with a few job interviews and also need to look at apartments.

We have a hotel through the end of the weekend so that gives up some time to look on the internet and in the newspapers.

I will not be having much access to the internet so I will not be posting daily unless I can find somewhere to go.

The End of One Path, The Start of New One

Well…

This weekend was the ending point and the starting point of two major things in my life. I officially graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with a degree in Web Design/Computer Support.

College was a great ride, with a lot of ups and downs. I met friends that I will keep in touch with for the rest of my life. It has changed me as a person in more ways than I could have ever imagined. It really took me to a new level coming from such a small town like Clintonville.

What makes this even more crazy is the fact that I have decided to fly out to Hawaii Monday and try and make a go at living there. Most of my friends said they could never do it which is why I am excited to give it a shot. I am the type of person that lives the go big or go home attitude. I always new I was going to accomplish some big things and this is a start.

It is going to be hard to say goodbye to everyone but thats part of life. Saying goodbye to my family is going to be the hardest part because I am so used to spending time with them and just hanging out. In college I was only about an hour from home, Hawaii…more like 5000 miles from home in the middle of the ocean.

It is going to be interesting, who knows how long I will be out there. The good thing is I am gong with a best friend so at least I will have someone I know with me. We do not have an apartment or jobs out there yet so things will need to happen fast. I feel pretty confident I can make it happen.

Stay tuned…
