A Day In San Antonio, Texas
After spending three nights in Austin, it was off to San Antonio. My girlfriend and I decided to spend one night there since it was sort of on the way home. Plus I thought it would be kind of cool to see another city that I have never been too.
The River Walk
By far the coolest part of San Antonio is the River Walk. It’s a bunch of restaurants, bars, and shops right along the river. It was much different than I was expecting. Here is a picture looking down the River Walk:
After walking around for awhile, I just wanted some booze after seeing everyone else drinking margaritas. So we stopped at Rita’s Margarita bar for some food and margaritas. After looking at the menu, we decided on the Texas sized margarita, which comes in at 32 ounces. Mmm…check out the picture:
The Alamo
I have heard of the Alamo a few times, mostly in movies and on TV. However, I have never seen what it looks like until this past weekend. My first impression was that the place was definitely old, but not that impressive. It was kind of cool to read some of the history behind it, but to be honest I still don’t really know what the heck it is.
Anyways, here is a pic of the Alamo:
The Rest Of San Antonio
Other than the Alamo and the River Walk, I was not that impressed with San Antonio. The downtown area felt a little sketch and was nothing like Austin. Plus the city is pretty spread out like Phoenix. Not a good place to ride your bike around town.
However, I’m glad I stopped there to check out some of the sites. It was worth it because I really enjoyed the River Walk (and the margaritas).

Great photos! One of these days I’m going to visit Texas. I’ve been avoiding it, but I have a lot of family there I dont even know and its about time I meet them.
Yeap the pix are amazing. Always wanted to visit Texas. However, it’s too far away from me now as I’m living in Europe at the moment. Thanks for sharing these photos. Can I use the first one as a wallpaper?

I could use a margarita right now.
When I think of a city’s riverwalk, I thought it would be more commercial. I’m so glad they kept a natural setting.
wow! u take such great photos!! very nice!
I’m glad you enjoyed the River Walk. Unfortunately we’re not as cool as Austin.
