Back To The Cube Farm
Once again it’s that dreaded day again, good ol’ Monday morning. Everyone is hopped up on coffee and eager to get to their offices to start working on Monday’s tasks…yeah right.
Sitting here in my cubicle I decided to do a Google search for “Cube Farm” and I managed to find some pretty funny stuff. One of the sites that came up is Cubefigures.com and it specializes in selling figurines based on the typical office.
There are multiple sets that all have different features. An example is Ted, a typical office employee. His set “Comes with an exclusive sticker sheet of decor for your cube, complete with graphs, charts, screens for the computer and pithy office posters. Also includes a job title sticker sheet so you can create a convoluted and meaningless position for your employee.
The sad reality is how close this actually resembles most offices. I am surrounded by pithy office posters that do not motivate me, but instead piss me off. And job titles are something to laugh about. It seems like the longer it is the better it is.
The site even has a random job title generator on case you feel the need to switch it up a little bit. I tried it out and the title I recieved is “Level B Engineering Coordinator.” It sure does sound like a useless and meaningless title. I bet the job pays around 45K a year with benefits and 2 weeks paid vacation.
I also found an old school Jezzball game that is supposed to be used a time killer while your sitting in your cube. I used to love this game when it came on Windows 98. The goal is to trap the balls in as little of space as possible. So here is the game, it is my gift to you to make this Monday morning just a tad more enjoyable:
Have fun, just don’t get caught. Otherwise you will get fired and I would have to be jealous of you. Be sure to tune in tomorrow, I have some interesting things brewing up.
