Blog Directory Has Been Added
Hey everyone, I just wanted to make a quick post today to announce that I have added a new Blog Directory to Life of Justin. I got sick of having a million bookmarks to various blogs, so instead I decided to add a directory that is organized by categories.
I think it will be a great addition to the site and will help everyone get a little more traffic. Plus it offers my readers some cool blogs they can go check out (not that you should leave mine, lol).
Where Is It?
I currently have a link in my footer to the directory. Once I fill the directory up with more blogs, I will find a place to put a larger link so it can be found easier. I just figured I would wait awhile until more blogs get listed.
Can I Add My Site?
Well of course. To add a blog, simply go to the Add URL page and fill in your information. The links are free, but I encourage a link back to my site if possible. I currently have it set to require a reciprocal link for blogs under a Pagerank 0.
Please Share The Word
If you can, please share the word for me and let all your readers know that they can hop on over to Life of Justin and get a free directory listing. The more listings I can get the more useful the directory will be to everyone.
If you notice any problems, please let me know via comments and I will be sure to fix them.
Update
The blog directory is no longer working. The plugin seemed to have stopped working with the upgrade to 2.7. So long blog directory…

Sweet deal dude. I’m in. One small issue, I noticed that if you click a general category (say Blogging), the sub-categories (say Make Money) don’t get listed. So, my blog, My Last Name Means Money, shows up under the Make Money link but not the Blogging link. Is that intentional?

Like Mike I got confused too. I was looking for my category and didn’t see one that fit. There is no category for personal blogs.

You forgot the satire category Justin. How can I put my site in the directory if there is no sature category? Curse thee Justin.

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback. I will add a category for personal blogs under blogging, along with a Celebrities and Gossip section.
And yes Dwayne, I will add a category just for you. How does Dwayne’s blogs sound? lol…
PS. To Adam
It appears the way it works is it doesn’t count subcategories as part of a main category. So if your listed within a sub-category, you won’t show up under the main category.
Cool idea.
I think Dwayne’s Blog is a nice category name!
There should be more people named Dwayne, then they too can post their links in that category.
