Kodak Zi6 Review

If you missed yesterday’s post about riding my bike, I posted a video using my new digital video camera. I wanted to see how well the quality was when uploading to YouTube. Anyways, as promised I am doing a review of the camera today.

The camera is a Kodak Zi6, which I picked up at Wal-mart for $170. I wanted something that could shoot good quality videos yet still be small enough to take with me where ever I go. Which is why I decided on the Kodak camera instead of a more expensive video camera.

The Size And Weight

Like I mentioned above, the Kodak Zi6 is small enough to fit in my pocket. I can even hold it in my hand and record while I am riding my bike. Here is a picture of the camera next to my Apple iPhone:

As you can see, it’s basically the same size as my iPhone. It’s a little thicker but that is not a problem.

A Quick Ride To The Coffee Shop

Since I wrote a few posts about my bike, I thought I would share a quick ride with you. The main reason is because I just bought a new video camera that shoots in high definition. I thought I would test it out and see what the quality is like on YouTube now that it offers HD. So check it out:

The Quality Is WAY Better

The quality is far better than my old Casio point and shoot camera that did video. It was always grainy and hard to see things in detail.

Season Premiere Of Lost Tonight!

Well it’s finally January 21st…the day that season 5 of Lost Premiers on ABC. It’s one of the only shows I watch these days so I’ve been waiting for this day to come.

Funny thing is, I have never watched Lost on TV before. This past Christmas, I rented season 1 and 2 and started watching them. After watching the first two seasons, I became super addicted to the show and couldn’t stop thinking about it. So over a period of like two weeks I managed to watch all 4 season of lost. Yeah it’s pretty pathetic…

The hard thing was, I watched all of them back to back. When I got done with the season 4 finale, I was ready to drive to the studios and demand answers. Luckily, the premier is tonight and it starts with a 1 hour recap followed by two episodes. Woo!

West Wind Scottsdale 6 Drive-In

This past weekend, I did something I haven’t done in a few years. And I have certainly never done it in the month of January. What I did, was check out a move at a drive-in. Actually, I saw two movies for the price of one. Even better…

The Experience

The West Wind Scottsdale 6 drive-in is a pretty cool place. They have six screens all laid out in a circle type pattern and had a really good selection of movies. The price was $6.25 per adult, but this included two movies. It was even cheaper than seeing one movie at a movie theater.

Overall, this place had a lot of positives.. First off, it’s nice being able to pack a cooler and bring your own food. It’s also nice to be able to lay back in your car with some blankets and not have to listen to screaming children in the background. During the first movie, I even sat outside for a few minutes since the weather was nice. We had no problems finding a good place to park and the movie was pretty clear on the screen.
