Now that I am going to be quitting my job, I really need to focus on cutting back on the unnecessary expenses. Owning a vehicle and filling it with gas is easily the biggest expense I have outside of my rent. Therefore, my car (Buy it!) is up for sale and I have found a new means of transportation.

You got that right, roller blades! I have officially taken a time machine back to 7th grade when these things were the shit. I must say, they’re pretty bad ass in my opinion.
I took them out for a test spin last night and quickly realized I had lost any skills I had when it comes to rollerblading. I remember stopping used to be easy but it sure didn’t feel like it last night. My ankles are a little sore but I have a feeling I just need to get used to these things again.
It’s only a matter of time before I start pulling off tricks and eating shit in the sidewalk. I plan on using these things to get to the grocery store and coffee shop. Plus any bus stop is within range now, which means I can pretty much get anywhere in the city. Not bad at all.

Hehe…nice wheels dude. You need to find a cheap video camera on craigslist or ebay and strap it to them wheels (or helmet) so we can see your rollerblading adventures, especially if you skitch any rides.

What a great idea – although not great if you have to travel long distances – or get groceries. I bought a 1996 Honda Accord last year – it was cheap and got great gas mileage. My insurance is cheap and I pay less for gas. Great way to save money! Although I’m sure it hurt to part with your nice sportscar!
You shouldn’t drink and ride after you get to the coffee shop. That could be dangerous…

Your life just keeps becoming more interesting. First I read about that crazy hike, and now your primary means of transportation is roller blades! That’s awesome, and good work on helping out the environment.

Nice set of wheels, I envy you sometimes Justin. Firstly, you get to quit work to pursue a full-time blogging career. And then secondly, you purchase a new set of blades to get to places.
I might have to purchase a pair myself, once I remember how to roll on Rollerblades actually, it’s a been a while. I would like to point out I am usually a lazy piece of shit and probably won’t follow through with a pair of Rollerblades, but it’s nice to think of all the possibilities though.
