Kyle In Town + Greg’s Birthday = Rough Morning
Well…all I can say is man I hate sleeping for a few hours and then going to work. Last night was my roommate Greg’s Birthday so of course I went out and celebrated. I also hung out with Kyle for the first time in a long time. The last time I saw him was our going away Party in May at my parents house in Wisconsin. Kyle was heading to Iraq and Greg and I were heading to Hawaii a day later. It seems like that was so long ago but it was not even a year ago. It just proves how insane this last year has been. It was fun though, it felt like old times back in Clintonville, Wisconsin for awhile.
The night started out like usual with way to much pre-drinking (you know, partying before you party). We then decided to head down to Tempe as there is usually something going on every night. The first stop on our little tour was Dos Gringos. Someone had mentioned that it was the place to be on Monday so we told the cab driver to take us there. We walk in and what do you know, we were the ONLY people in the place. Talk about having a good time. So we all took a shot of Jim Beam and ditched the place.
Next stop was some bar I do not even know the name too. We walked in and there was about 7 people in there but the bartender was good looking so we stayed. Next thing I know we were drinking Jack and Water and took some of the worst tasting shots ever. You can watch the video below, just watch my reaction. I literally did the cough and sit down maneuver after that one. Greg managed to throw his phone in the urinal and it was dead for the rest of the night (eventually it started working again).
We ended up going back towards Mill Ave. since that is where the majority of the college kids go. We hit up Q Lounge which was actually pretty packed. We spend the whole night there and had a great time. Kyle was absolutely hammered and I was definitely not sober. The worst part of the night was the fact I left my debit card behind the bar but Oh well, time to get a new one.
It was a crazy Monday and it just added to the overall craziness of 2008. Who knows where this year is going…
