So stoked you finally got to get up to Silver Star Mountain, pretty awesome, huh?!! One of my favorite places to hike within decent driving distance.
From this spot (in the picture) on the trail, there is a trail that splits off to the west and down a ridge. This ridge leads to an amazing meadow, where I took my kids for this season's first backpacking trip, it was a blast.

I would really enjoy getting out again, with you and your lady on a hike of Silver Star, when the bloom is in full swing. I would also like to know the exact path you took for this hike, it sounds like an amazing variation on an already awesome hike!!
