This past weekend was the Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally. It’s the largest bike rally in the state of Texas and it’s not hard to tell. I could not believe how many bikers were around.
There were tons of things going on including a Robbie Knieval jump near the capital building, midget wrestling, and a Hank Williams Jr. concert.
The Parade
The coolest part of all was the Rot Rally Parade where they lined up all the bikers and had them come downtown. It was 45 minutes of non-stop bikes. Since my recording was way too long for YouTube, I extracted the first 10 minutes of the parade. Check it out:
Off To 6th Street
Once the parade was over and all the bikes had been parked, everyone took off to 6th Street. The place was super packed and there was hardly any room to get around. At that point, we decided to head back towards our apartment and get away from the crowds.
Here’s a glimpse of what it was like at the corner of Congress and 6th Street:
It was a pretty cool event overall and it was worth the short walk to go check it out.

Wow…I think there is something really cool about a bunch of people riding off in their motor bikes! My uncle had his own bike club, it was like 500 deep in the small town of ohio! Can you imagine?
i love these rallies! Mainly because it gives people a chance to see that bikers aren’t like the common badguy image.
nice rally, i love motorcycle and biker’s community, keep brotherhood
