In this week’s episode, I’m going to talk about my move from Arizona to Texas. Specifically, I’m going to talk about what it was like moving my job along with me. It was the first time in my life I moved to a new state not having to worry about finding a job.

As you all know, my girlfriend and I decided to move to Austin this past weekend. The move went really well and we didn’t have any problems along the way. The drive took us about 16 hours total over the course of two days. It was long and boring but at least we made it.

If you haven’t noticed, it’s been pretty quiet around here for the last week or so. The reason is because I have been swamped with getting ready to make the move to Austin, Texas. The plan is to leave on the 28th and it is rapidly coming up. It seems like this month is going to fly right by.
Anyways, my apartment is starting to look like the picture above. I always seem to forget how many little things are involved when it comes to moving. Packing up your belongings is the only the beginning. For example, here are a few things I have done this week already:

Once again, last night I managed to meet some more interesting people. This time it was a group of guys that were visiting from London.
After talking with them for awhile, I told them about how I was thinking about leaving Phoenix at the end of June when my lease is up. If you have never lived here, it is okay but the desert is just not the place for me. There is a serious lack of water here and I really miss the water sports I used to love like surfing, wakeboarding, and snorkeling.

Many people dream of one day moving to Hawaii. Why not? It is paradise after all. But there are a lot of differences from life here on the mainland.
Well, I would like to share my thoughts on the idea since I have personally done it. Upon graduating college in 2007, I decided to load up a few suitcases and venture off to Honolulu, Hawaii with no plans what so ever. This is one of the hardest blog posts I have had to write in a long time. I have decided that it is time for me to move on an experience some more of the world. My lease is up in a few days so I have decided to fly out tomorrow.

Today was definitly a long day. Thats why I can be seen in this picture drinking a Kona beer in the Honolulu Airport. I had to say goodbye to my family, ride on 3 flights, and then arrived in Honolulu. I love this place! The weather is perfect, and the palm trees are amazing.
I am going to be heading to bed early thats for sure. I have a big week coming up with a few job interviews and also need to look at apartments.
We have a hotel through the end of the weekend so that gives up some time to look on the internet and in the newspapers.
