Death Valley is Hot…I Guess
The Last Leg of the Road Trip
After hanging out in Reno for a good hour and a half, it was time to get out and continue driving. I was pretty happy to get out of Reno since traffic was a little bad and the sun was starting to set. Carson City was not far from Reno, and did not look that great when driving through it.
The Quest For A Buffet in Reno
After checking out the Avenue of the Giants, it was time to setup camp in Eureka, California. Before going to Eureka, I had never heard of it before. It is located in the northern coast section of California. The city itself sits on the Humboldt Bay which is pretty cool to see. What I definitely did not know, was that the city is known for Tsunamis.
It is a great place to camp when checking out the coastal redwoods. If you ever make it to Eureka, make sure to check out the Lost Coast Brewery, it is a very cool place to hang out and grab some food and beer.
The Drive Across California
After waking up relatively early, it was time to once again hop in the car and start driving. This drive would take us all the way across California into Nevada. It was a long drive, but offered some nice scenery near the Lassen Volcanic Park.
Along the way, a town called Whiskeytown was on the map, which sounded promising. I pictured kegs of whiskey and tons of cool bars. What I got, was a town that doesn’t exactly exist anymore. There was one building left, which is an old post office. According to this article, the town itself is now under water. Ha, the things maps forget to tell you…
Road Trip to California and Nevada
Hey everyone, I finally managed to make it back here to Phoenix. If you didn’t see my last post, I took off for San Francisco last Friday. I was expecting to make the 13 hour drive but what the trip turned into was something completely different. Check out the map of the trip:
The Places I Went
As you can see from the map, I managed to see a ton of stuff on this one trip. I made it back to Hollywood, up to San Francisco, and all the way to the Redwoods of California. From there, I made it to Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Death Valley. And last but not least, through Las Vegas on the way back to Phoenix.
I managed to take over a thousand pictures which I have not even begun looking through yet.
One Night in Vegas
Well…Where to Begin? It is 12:00 PM and I just woke up. My head is pounding and I just want to go back to be bed.
Anyways, last night was incredible:)
I officially love Las Vegas and will definitely be returning sooner than later. The strip is amazing and I cannot believe how crazy it is here. People never sleep and the bars and casinos never close. It is one nonstop party and I love it.
We cruised the strip for about an hour last night because I wanted to…
The Drive to Las Vegas
Before we went out last night, we decided on driving to Las Vegas today. I was not sure if it was actually going to happen or not but guess what…it did.
We took off from Phoenix around 2:00 PM and started on the journey that turned out to be a pretty boring drive, haha. There really isn’t much happening between Vegas and Phoenix besides a few small towns and a lot of mountains.
We ended up driving through a small town that had a Goldrush Days event happening with a…
Friday Night…Vegas?
Another Friday night, another VIP Pass, another night out at Margarita Rocks in Tempe. It seems to be the normal thing to do. Last night was a lot of fun, even though I was not feeling the greatest so I took it pretty easy.
So the real question is what to do this weekend? I was supposed to be in Vegas but do to the snow in Wisconsin my parents trip was canceled. However, were still thinking about driving up there for a night to party it up. I have…
