Austin Tweetups
Since I’ve moved to Austin, I’ve been trying my hardest to attend every event related to social media, blogging, and business in general. I even started a Beer and Blog Austin chapter I’m hoping to kick off soon.
Of all the events so far, tweetups have become one of my favorite ways to meet new people that are interested in new media and technology. And it just so happens there are a few tweetups here in Austin that are coming up over the next week that I wanted to share …

Austin Kickball League Is Underway

Last night was the season opener for our Austin kickball league, which is being put on by the Parks and Recreation crew. It’s a great time and a fun way to meet new people. Best part of all is that a lot of the players drink beer, wine, or booze during the games (myself included). It’s the perfect combination of two very unique sports…
The only downside is beer doesn’t taste as good when it starts coming up as you round third base. I guess it’s …
National Trails Day Was A Success

I just got back from National Trails Day and it was a blast! We managed to pick up an entire dumpster worth of garbage and hauled it out to the parking lot. It was amazing how much stuff we were able to pull out.
The dump site we cleaned up was located a good mile or so inside the green belt so it took a lot of lifting and dragging to get the bags out. Luckily, there were about 25 members in our group and we worked as a team …

If you happen to live in Austin, you may have heard about National Trails Day happening tomorrow at the Barton Creek Greenbelt. Volunteers will be helping to keep Austin beautiful by doing various projects.
Here is a quick overview of the event from the Austin Parks Foundation website:

The Spaghetti Warehouse

As I mentioned earlier this week, my goal is to write a lot of reviews about bars, restaurants, and things to see and do in Austin. So I thought I would keep with it and write a review about The Spaghetti Warehouse, which is where I had dinner last night.
Location
The Spaghetti Warehouse is located at 117 West 4th Street, which is in downtown in Austin. It’s pretty easy to find since it’s right off of Congress. The only thing that could be tough is parking. We rode …
Wine Tasting 101 At House Wine

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a Wine Tasting 101 class which was a lot of fun. The class is held every Tuesday at House Wine, which is located at 408 Josephine St. in Austin. It’s located right off of Lamar and Barton Springs.
If you’ve never been to House Wine, it is a very cool wine bar that is located inside an old house. When I first saw it, I wasn’t even sure if it was the right place. I think it’s really …
We Made It To Austin!

As you all know, my girlfriend and I decided to move to Austin this past weekend. The move went really well and we didn’t have any problems along the way. The drive took us about 16 hours total over the course of two days. It was long and boring but at least we made it.
So Long Arizona
Anyways, I wanted to say farewell to Arizona. I lived there for a year and a half and managed to visit the entire state. I saw the Grand Canyon a few times, …
Moving To Austin In A Few Weeks

If you haven’t noticed, it’s been pretty quiet around here for the last week or so. The reason is because I have been swamped with getting ready to make the move to Austin, Texas. The plan is to leave on the 28th and it is rapidly coming up. It seems like this month is going to fly right by.
Anyways, my apartment is starting to look like the picture above. I always seem to forget how many little things are involved when it comes …
A Day In San Antonio, Texas
After spending three nights in Austin, it was off to San Antonio. My girlfriend and I decided to spend one night there since it was sort of on the way home. Plus I thought it would be kind of cool to see another city that I have never been too.
The River Walk
By far the coolest part of San Antonio is the River Walk. It’s a bunch of restaurants, bars, and shops right along the river. It was much different than I was expecting. Here is a picture looking down the River Walk:
