Can Your Printer Do This?
Who would of thought you could do something this awesome using a couple printers.
Me Eating A Grasshopper
Last night I went to an awesome party that had all sorts of things going on. I’m still working on getting my photos up so I thought I’d share a quick clip of me eating a grasshopper:
Stay tuned for a detailed post about the party later today!
The Congress Bridge Bats
I never would of expected that Austin is the home of the largest urban bat colony in the United States. It turns out there are around 1.5 million bats that call the Congress Avenue bridge home from March until November. I just so happen to live right next to the bridge so they fly over our apartment complex every night.
Flight of the Bats
Here’s a video of the bats coming out at around 8:15 PM:
Near My Apartment
Here’s another video of the bats flying in streaks right near my apartment complex.
21 Totally Awesome Music Videos
From time to time, I spend some time on YouTube looking at the funniest and cheesiest music videos I can find. I also find some totally awesome music videos now and then. Here is a compilation I put together of some of the best (and worst) music videos from the past 30 years or so.
Since the whole copyright thing is going on over at YouTube, I had to link to some of the videos since a few companies (you know who) blocked embedding of their videos. Enjoy!
Men Without Hats – Safety Dance
I love this video for reasons I do not know..
Right Said Fred – I’m Too Sexy
This video is cheesy enough that hit had to be included in this list.
Michael Jackson – Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough
This video made the list because…I don’t know. The sweet backgrounds perhaps?
Some Awesome Improv Videos
While surfing around YouTube yesterday, I managed to find an awesome T Mobile commercial that aired in Europe (I think). It has a bunch of people dancing in a train station which was pretty awesome. Check it out:
After I watched that video, I ended up clicking on some related videos. This lead me to watching all of the videos from Improve Everywhere. Here are some of my favorites:
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Just wanted to wish everyone an awesome St. Patrick’s day. Don’t drink too much green beer (I know I will). And for a few quick laughs, check out this video. If you haven’t seen it, the sketch alone is priceless:
Trip To The Grand Canyon And Flagstaff
This past weekend my girlfriend and I made another road trip up north. We went up there expecting to find a bunch of snow in Flagstaff and go sledding. What we found was 55 degree weather and hardly any snow. Here is a video I put together:
Kodak Zi6 Review
If you missed yesterday’s post about riding my bike, I posted a video using my new digital video camera. I wanted to see how well the quality was when uploading to YouTube. Anyways, as promised I am doing a review of the camera today.
The camera is a Kodak Zi6, which I picked up at Wal-mart for $170. I wanted something that could shoot good quality videos yet still be small enough to take with me where ever I go. Which is why I decided on the Kodak camera instead of a more expensive video camera.
The Size And Weight
Like I mentioned above, the Kodak Zi6 is small enough to fit in my pocket. I can even hold it in my hand and record while I am riding my bike. Here is a picture of the camera next to my Apple iPhone:
As you can see, it’s basically the same size as my iPhone. It’s a little thicker but that is not a problem.
A Quick Ride To The Coffee Shop
Since I wrote a few posts about my bike, I thought I would share a quick ride with you. The main reason is because I just bought a new video camera that shoots in high definition. I thought I would test it out and see what the quality is like on YouTube now that it offers HD. So check it out:
The Quality Is WAY Better
The quality is far better than my old Casio point and shoot camera that did video. It was always grainy and hard to see things in detail.
The Hike to Browns Peak
This weekend I took another shot at climbing to the top of Brown’s Peak. It is the tallest of the Four Peaks with are located outside of Phoenix. It is also the highest point in Maricopa county with an elevation of 7,657 feet. If you don’t remember, I previously made an attempt at it and ended up taking the wrong trail. You can read my post about my first attempt here.
On this attempt, I made it within 100 feet of the peak but stopped because of the weather. So I am still satisfied with the outcome because I could have easily made the last 100 foot stretch on a clear day.
Anyways, Instead of opening with a explanation of the hike, I thought I would share this video I put together of the hike. I want to start doing more videos so here is the first attempt:
